Heater/AC unit is installed. I had to lever up the left hand side so the lower air flap would clear the air deflector. It wanted to sit cockeyed. I sprayed the faded pewter carpet with liquid carpet dye that you mix with water and squirt on. It's not as faded or the dye as dark as it looks in the picture. (lighting).

The dash is in. I redid the control cowl 5 times trying to get the Triumph badged Panasonic AM/FM cassette deck that was standard equipment in the Spiders to fit. It's too long as I guess they designed it with a stubby AM radio in mind. It sits at too high and angle compared with the angle of the cowl, but then every one who has put in a modern radio has had this problem.
I forgot to attach the front passenger side dash part on first and as it attaches on the front by two screws you can only get at from below I wasn't;t going to take it apart. I attached it with some double sided sticky tape on rubber grommets put on the attach posts. It should work until I have to take it apart again.
While I was polishing the clear plastic instrument cover I noticed what looked like a greasy finger print on the instrument base so I cleaned it with propylene a benign solvent that I use to clean plastic parts with. It took off the paint! I covered the instruments with folded paper and sprayed it with trim black satin spray can paint and it looks as good as new you can't tell anything happened. It's nearing ICBC safety check for foreign (US) vehicles.

This is the the saga of a spider born in Solihull, raised in California and spending it's twilight years in British Columbia as close as it's culturally likely to get to its' birthplace.
