Nice Saturday morning job,Yeah right ![]()
Up biright and early last Friday lifted the V8 engine minus cyl heads out of its temp home in the conservatory and into the garage.
The under bonnet is now sprayed, new larger servo and master cylinder fitted,a quick tip if you remove the wiper linkage refit it before the servo,i did’nt and what a
it was to fit around the larger servo ![]()
I have stripped everything out from under the bonnet and cleaned it all up.Some
had sprayed a wax type substance every where on the inner wings
First posting hope this works
The plan i have is,i have two TR’s one with a rotten body but a V8 fitted
and a DHC with a great body but a b
r engine. I hope you can see where this is going! Not content with fitting any old V8,i have sitting in my conservatory
a 4.6 with all the good bits on it.
Had two days of work and pulled the engine, box and axle out of the DHC no real problems just the weight of that lump of slanted iron! Pulled it out from underneath as the frame has to be removed anyway. Was just going to refit new engine but whilst out may as well clean and repaint engine bay.
Hi and welcome to my blog, its a few words and pictures descibing my TR7s,both the ups and hopefully the few downs.Having owned TR7s for over 20 years i have had plenty of laughs but also felt like crying at times!!!
