Up biright and early last Friday lifted the V8 engine minus cyl heads out of its temp home in the conservatory and into the garage.
Fitted the ARP head stud kit, flywheel (had to cut dowel of 4.6 crank) fitted new clutch and refitted gearbox, have gone for the DHC gearbox as has a higher 5th gear ratio.Jacked the car up 2 feet in the air and with the engine and box on a creeper board rolled it under, lifted up and dropped down on the refitted front frame.Redriled gearbox mounting and jobs a good un!
The subframe has been painted, recon rack fitted and poly bushes fitted to lower arms and anti roll bar bushes, not in all the easiest bushes i have ever fitted
but after chasing frame round the floor on a wet Wed PM now done.Had to fit longer bolts to front antiroll bar clamps as using anti dive blocks and not quite long enough with new bushes fitted.
Saturday fitted Rimmer Bros SD1 based vented brake kit, details to follow next time
