The First One

I only went to my local garage to get the exhaust fixed on my Focus!

And lo - in the corner of the showroom sat a shiny blue TR7. Now I had been thinking about buying a "classic car" for a while (mid life crisis according to the co pilot), but I had not really made any decision about what make or model I wanted. I favoured Triumph, having had a Herald & a Vitesse when younger, but TR7s were not high on the list!

Well this car had a big sign in the windscreen saying "4,600 miles from new". WHAT! I had to look, and the sales guy confirmed it was genuine. The car had just come out of 20 years storage & been sold to the garage by the first owner.

A quick test drive & I was hooked. Not perfect, suffering a bit from lack of use, but no rust & totally original. A week later it was in my garage.

Tony's Weblog

Welcome to my weblog. I am lucky enough to have a very original TR7 2.0l FHC, and a very unoriginal 3.5l V8 TR7 DHC. Read how I came to be in this predicament here!
