After 9 weeks away she's back............

The V8 has been having a fairly major overhaul leading up to new MOT time, ready for the better weather![]()
First was the bodywork with reconditioned doors from S&S, new headlamp panel, sections welded into both front arches & both front floor pans, and a really good S/H boot lid from an autojumble complete with lock & key. This of course all meant a partial respray - the colour of the car was recorded as Ford Regency Red but my bodyshop guy had trouble matching that. Then he tried ROVER Regency Red & hey presto - a good match!
Then the trip to the garage for the MOT
I knew the back brakes were shot (leaking wheel cylinders), but then we found the brakes lines suffering corrosion in places, knackered track control arms which had worn the front tyres unevenly & front dampers with no damping to speak of. So, all this was renewed & a pair of TarOx discs fitted while the brakes were dismantled.
Other than that little lot it was fine!
So, in between the showers I have managed about 40 miles to start everything bedding down. She's running well, the big bore exhaust is a joy to listen too. Can't wait for a dry day![]()
I'll post some more pics when I've resized them.

Welcome to my weblog. I am lucky enough to have a very original TR7 2.0l FHC, and a very unoriginal 3.5l V8 TR7 DHC. Read how I came to be in this predicament here!
