TRisha has a Brother!

A New Arrival

After 16 years as an only child TRisha TR has a brother... TRickett TR arrived into the family on 3rd May 2006 and has quickly settled into 'his' new surroundings.

TRickett actually belongs to the co-pilot, he's a v.late Solihull DHC which has been converted to an Automatic sometime in the past. In 2000 he was taken by his previous owner to France, which included seeking type-approval as the records stated 'manual' transmission.

Since picking him up he's sailed the MOT, and received a new radiator (we knew of the leak prior to purchase) - we are now going through the process of getting his original British plates re-assigned. He has also been seen at the Ashby Folville, Leicestershire, car gathering on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and has attracted favourable comments... a testament to the previous owner.

More info will be posted on www.TriumphTR7.com in due course

TR7 Anniversary Tour gets underway

The biggest TR7 30th Anniversary Road Run got underway on Saturday 11th June; The Liverpool Echo & Post were there to witness the start and take photo's of the newest film star - Dr.Bob's very original 1976 FHC (complete with Dr.Bob as the stunt driver).

Raising money for Spinal Research (donations through JustGiving and organised by TriumphTR7.com the tour will see a TR7 baton carried from Speke via the Lakes, Yorkshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Kent, Hampshire, Ocfordshire, Gloucestershire and finally Northants (with apologies to various other counties that I've forgotten). The tour has been supported by areas of both TR Register and Club Triumph, and some help from the TR7-8 World Wide Web Club. And a big thanks to Pal International manufactures of hygiene wear and disinfectants for big sponsorship... also the degreasing wipes which helped with the mudflap casualty at Bassenthwaite!

Five TR7's were there for the photo's on the site of the original plant and a 6th car (LPG powered v8) joined just after the photo's and carried the baton to the lakes... more to follow.....
