Is it Spring?

Can it be true? Can it just be that Spring has poked her head from under the heavy blanket of gloom which has been the winter? B) Well it looked that way toward the end of last week (w/end 18/19 March). On Thursday office workers in Leic's were flinging their

clothes aside with gay |-|abandon. Okay that's not quite true and from what I see in central Leicester of a lunchtime it would be a pretty horrific sight!!! XX(

Anyway I rushed home, dumped the heFTy Oh, climbed into some jeans and clambered into the TR7... needless to say I had opened the garage doors. Well soon enough I was blasting around Northampton. Why Northants? Well I was doing a bit of a reccy around for the TR Drivers Nat W/end convoy run.

It proved a bit pointless as I got horrendously lost  and have no idea where I went - I got to the destination okay, just wandered off track on the way back. Nevermind TRisha behaved though the temp guage was sitting smack on the half way for the last 30 miles or so which was a little concerning... though I think that is related to the voltage regulator on the dash as it had sat quite happy just under the half until I put the lights on!:-/ I hope to do a few tests in the next week or so to see if there's a problem, the levels look okay so it doesn't appear to be any noticeable escaping.

Re: Your comment about the temperature gauge: I have exactly the same 'feature' in that the gauge needle moves by about a needle width when I turn on the side or headlights. As all TR7 drivers watch this gauge like a hawk, as you say, it's disconcerting. I don't think it's the voltage regulator but an interaction between the panel lights and the gauge: But this is just a hunch, I could be wrong. None of my previous 4 TR7s have suffered from this. It definately is nothing to do with the cooling system on my car. Cheers Keith

TRisha TR's Diary like Ramblings

Trisha TR was christened by her co-pilot back in September 1990. Having purchased the car in June of that year she was known briefly as TRuh! There's a load more pics, in amongst other stuff on my website - www.TriumphTR7.com
