First off i want to say "Hi"

I have just started to restore and upgrade an 1980 Tr7 DHC that my dad bought new in 80. He loves this car and was a daily driver up until 2001. Prior to that he had a spitfire, tr 4a and a tr 250. So i have grown up around Triumphs all my life. This is also probably why i grew up to be a mechanic. So in 2001 my dad decided to give me his tr7. Well i drove it a few months but the engine really needed to be rebuilt so i parked it under cover, well one thing led to another and here it is the end of 2005 and i'm just getting around to getting started on it. So i haul it to my shop to start working on it and " wow " is it in bad shape all over!! I got it on the lift and the floors are rusted thru on both sides the clutch is frozen. The headlight panel is rusted thru and the engine still needs to be rebuilt.

Well i have removed the engine and removed the interior, cut the floor panels out.The next things to do are to remove all the items in the engine bay. So my life with a Triumph is just starting i can only hope that i enjoy it as much as my dad did !!!
