RBRR!

It really has been a long time since I've posted on here! What with work and moving house not much has been happening on the TR7 front for a long while :( Well, hopefully I'm back and what better way to start than a mad 2000 mile dash round the country in 48 hours. I am (of course) referring to Club Triumph's bi-annual Round Britain Run. Some of you may remember I attempted this event back in 2004 and suffered an embarassing breakdown only a few hours in.

Not this time! With my new co-driver Chris Shaw we made it from London -> Lands-end > John O'Groats and back to London in style using my 'bling' TR7 V8 convertible RAP 702X. What an incredible event. All I can say is that if you have a Triumph, and fancy the drive of your life, join Club Triumph and enter in 2008.

I was too busy driving or sleeping to take more than a couple of pictures, but here they are. The first two show my car and Martin Randle's TR7 sprint at JoG. The third, taken at Lands End, shows my car with Ellis Stokes' 2.5Pi saloon know as the "Big Red Bus".

So what can I do next? Well Club Triumph are organising a 2500 mile run through 10 european countries next year and I really fancy a crack at that one too :>> Visit to find out more.

I am so envious of the Round Britain run. I've read about it for several years and have always been fascinated by the idea.

My Spider remains in daily use and I need it to run reliably and strongly every day in the rural Maine of nothern New England. Nothing like driving from end to end, though!
