The Retro car club were organising a rolling road 'shootout' day - so I couldn't give that a miss. Readers of the blog will know that OVR was rolling roaded a couple of years ago at Mallory Park, but it was a portable road with an in-experienced crew and I've since been told that the results are rather optimistic to say the least
So off to a proper accurate road run by the boys at Sussex Performance Centre.

An interesting array of cars was promised, and finally an accurate BHP. But would I like the result....
Well, I easily won "best sounding car of the day" but don't think that was ever in doubt! Here she is registering just a tad under 210BHP at 5,500rpm which I am pretty happy with for a near standard 3.5V8 ![]()

A motley crew of running mates from the Retro Car Club that day, including:
Mistubishi Starion
Ford Capri 2L
Opel Monza
VW Camper van(!)
Mk1 Astra GTE turbo
Mk1 Astra GTE
Vauxhall Chevette
Honda Civic CRX
Saab 900 turbo
Pug 206 1.9 GTI
Austin Allegro(!)
OVR was the second most powerful car of the day. Car to guess which one beat her??
